We hope this message finds you well.
We are reaching out on behalf of the Recreation and Culture team at the City of Cambridge. The City of Cambridge is planning a new, modern Recreation Complex in the south end of Cambridge that will also become the future home to a brand-new public and catholic elementary school with a childcare facility, creating a vibrant community hub. This project is all about creating a space that reflects the needs and desires of our community.
We are eager to involve the citizens of Cambridge in an exciting initiative that will shape the future of recreation in our community.
We need your input:
Your insights, ideas, and knowledge are crucial in shaping this project, and we invite you to be a part of the conversation in the following ways:
In-person sessions:
- December 6, 2023, 6-8 pm @ Preston Idea Exchange
- December 7, 2023, 6-8 pm @ Hespeler Idea Exchange
- December 14, 2023, 6-8 pm @ Kinbridge Community Association – 200 Christopher Drive, Cambridge (in Duncan McIntosh Community Centre)
Virtual Session:
- December 13, 2023, 6-8 pm (virtual meeting) – please email recreationcomplex@cambridge.ca to register for this meeting.
City staff and project architects will be present to answer your questions and engage in conversations covering various topics, including proposed amenities and activities, library design priorities, programs and services, outdoor spaces, washroom/changeroom design, and more.
