Dear Monsignor Doyle Students/Parents/Guardians:
As the Quad comes to an end, we would like to advise you of the following:
- Last day to complete/submit term work will be Friday, January 28th at 11:59 pm. Any work submitted after this date, may not be included in the final evaluation.
- Final assessments will take place January 31st and February 1st beginning at 8:35 am.
- Students who have requested to be temporarily remote or who are hybrid learners will access this assessment via a Microsoft Teams link.
All other students are expected to be in-person for their final assessment.
Period 1 Final Assessment (January 31st) 8:35 am – 10:35 am. Busses depart at 10:50 am
Period 2 Final Assessment (February 1st) 8:35 am – 10:35 am am. Busses depart at 10:50 am
- Credit rescue will happen in the afternoon. In-person learners may need to stay to complete missing assignments. Transportation will be the students responsibility beyond 10:50 am. Temporary remote/Hybrid learners will connect with their teacher online.
- Credit Rescue opportunities for those students who need it, will take place in the afternoons of January 31st and February 1st. Students should connect with their teachers to see if credit rescue is required.
- Community & Active Living students will adhere to their regular school hours on these assessment dates.
- PD Day – February 2nd, 2022 – School will be closed to all students.
- Lunch: Students may stay in their period 2 class for the first 20 minutes of lunch to eat or they may choose to leave. If they choose to leave their classroom, students are choosing to go outside. Students will not be permitted in the hallways until 11:30 am. Please remind your child(ren) to dress appropriately for the weather.
- Semester 2 begins for all students on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022.
- In a semester schedule, students will be managing 4 courses from February – June, 2022; classes will be 75 minutes in length.

- Here is the timetable that we will follow for Semester 2
Period 1 8:35 am – 9:50 am
Period 2 9:55 am – 11:10 am
LUNCH 11:10 am – 11:50 am
Period 3 11:55 am – 1:10 pm
Period 4 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm
Busses will depart the school at 2:40 pm.
COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS:
- Course change requests for semester 2 will be accepted until Tuesday February 8th, 2022.
- Please note not all change requests are possible due to scheduling limitations and class sizes.
- To make a course change request, please complete the course change request form.
- If a change is possible, guidance will require email consent from parents/guardians.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- Families wishing for their student(s) to learn remotely for the first 10 days of semester 2 must email or call their child’s guidance counsellor no later than January 31st, 2022. (This includes students that are currently learning temporarily remote). Please note that Technology, Physical education classes, Performing Art and CO-OP classes are not available as Hybrid classes. Please contact Guidance for more details.
COURSE SELECTIONS:
- Course selections are officially open in myBlueprint.
- Courses must be submitted in myBlueprint prior to March 1st, 2022; paper copy is no longer required but will be accepted in the Guidance office.
- Summer school runs July 4th to July 29th online and is being run through St. Louis Adult Learning; information on course offerings will be found on that website late winter 2022. Guidance will forward information once we receive it.
- Please reach out to your Guidance Counsellor if you are interested in taking a summer school course.
