Current grade 10 or 11 students interested in manufacturing engineering or looking to pursue a program in college or university are invited to attend an information meeting this Friday February 7th at lunch in Rm 164.

This new program will give students an opportunity to learn about engineering and manufacturing through hands on projects that involve

  • Design and drafting
  • Technical drawings
  • Machining and 3D printing
  • Prototyping and Testing

Students will connect math, science and technology through being exposed to 2D and 3D design software, the world of CAD and CAM for taking their design to the prototype stages and the testing of those prototypes by applying physics and engineering principles to their models.

The course is being offered as TMJ3M. A grade 11 University/College Manufacturing Engineering course and does not require a prerequisite. It is available for both current grade 10 and 11 students and supports requirements for SHSM’s offered here at Doyle.

More information will be shared Friday February 7th at lunch in Rm 164. Or email Mr. Cinti @ gregory.cinti@wcdsb.ca.
