Monsignor Doyle’s Grade 10 Civics students participated in the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) this year. This is a program where youth, schools and charities work together to support local organizations and vulnerable people through grants and public awareness. This year, one outstanding team/student presentation was chosen from each of the seven Civics classes, representing five charities in our local community. Each of the winning charities will receive a grant from Youth Philanthropy Initiative Canada! We would like to congratulate the following winning students for their hard work, dedication and support for these local charities:
- Marlene Basam & Catherine Pacheco – Saint Luke’s Place
- Ryan Stefanov & Ephram Grant Ritchie – YMCA
