Cambridge Shelter Corporation’s 13th Annual Walk to Change is on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
This year’s Walk marks 20 years of dedicated service to the community in providing much needed food and shelter for the homeless and needy. The “Walk” raises funds and awareness for “The Bridges”
The Walk begins at Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School where you will meet MP Bryan May and MPP Kathryn McGarry. Registration begins at 9:00 am. Moksha Yoga Cambridge will be there to help us warm up before the Walk starting at 10:00 am.
Along the route you will have Rest stops provided and you will have a chance to meet Police Chief Bryan Larkin, Patrick Gaskin, CEO of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Deputy Fire Chief Damond Jamieson and His Worship Mayor Doug Craig.
The Walk ends this year at Wesley United Church where the Walk had its humble beginning and in honour of that, the traditional pasta meal will be served while being entertained by local musician Kyle Alexander. After lunch, you will be treated to a very special visit by the Redpath’s vintage “Acts of Sweetness” truck for some delicious cookies. It’s a photo opportunity you don’t want to miss!
Monsignor Doyle has been a longtime supporter and partner of the Cambridge Shelter.
Students will be at the registration on Saturday morning helping with refreshments, entertainment, and a children’s area as well as walking the route
Come out and support!!!!!!!!!
