Good and loving God,
We give thanks for the pleasure of gathering together for this occasion; a time of Thanksgiving for the safety of our homes, for our family and for our friends that we consider to be our family.
We give thanks for the food that will be prepared by loving hands.
We give thanks for life, the freedom to enjoy it all and all other blessings.
As we gather together in Thanksgiving this long weekend we pray for health and strength to carry on. We are grateful to have this time of gathering for thanksgiving after years of social distancing, and we pray that you will be with those who may be alone this weekend.
