Our Logo’s History

The horse that we use for our logo was created many years ago by Paul Valentine Schnarr, (Feb., 14th 1949-July 21st  2008), a former art teacher here at Monsignor Doyle from 1995-2004.

He was very passionate about the logo, and can be remembered saying “mustangs roamed the land where the school is located . . . the horses mane flying in the wind as it galloped”

It became the new visual for the school in 2006 when the logo was given fresh look.

The M and head logo were later developed by student Jake Oliveria when it was given to him as a project for his Communication Technology class. He was asked to incorporate the horse into something that could be painted on our gym floor.

The cross was then added shortly after as we wanted the faith aspect of our school to also be represented in our logo.
