Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School is proud to announce that next fall, the Global Leadership Program returns to our school!!!
The global leadership program @MDCSS is a one-of-a-kind, multidisciplinary and cross-curricular four credit program for both grade 11 and 12 students.
The program combines Society: Challenge and Change, Economics, World Issues Geography, Political Science and International Business into four 12u credits you can to prepare for the bright future you have ahead!
The Global Leadership Program includes:
- State-of-the art professional grade interactive software replacing traditional textbooks. This is the only school in the region that offers this advantage!
- Realistic role-playing, simulations and games to learn while having fun!
- Field trips to multiple universities, working with university programs and professors engaged in hands-on and real world application of social studies, business and world issues content!
- Other fun trips including escape rooms and museums!
- A large scale field trip next year to NEW YORK, WASHINGTON OR LONDON, ENGLAND!!!
- Real World leaders working and meeting with you in class, including professors, Members of parliament, business and community leaders, think tanks and the leaders of international organizations!
- The opportunity to prepare for university by learning essential life skills such as communication, leadership, planning, creative and critical thinking, and university focused skills including case studies, thesis writing and much more
- The chance to earn one of nine $1000 Global leadership scholarships offered in the program next year to go towards University!!!
- A chance to be in a classroom full of young people who WANT to learn, and are engaged in both their academics and the world around them! This is a chance to make life-long friendships with students of similar academic goals and outlooks for the future!!

| Tuesday, November 15th | How Global leads to Academic Success:
Come to a free lunch time event with snacks in the lecture hall. Meet former Global students and learn how you WILL be successful earning four 12u credits, especially come out to this one if you are in grade ten going into grade 11!!! |
| Tuesday, November 22nd | Global and You: The trips, the experiences, the high school memories:
Come to a free lunch time event with snacks in the lecture hall. Meet former Global students and learn why Global Leadership is truly the high school experience you want and need right now!!! Learn where you will be going next year in the Global Leadership Program!!! |
And then… Monsignor Doyle presents a special event:
A One-Night Global Leadership Promotional Event for Parents/Guardians and Prospective Students on the evening of
Tuesday, November 29th from 7-8pm in Lowry Hall @ MDCSS
- Bring your parents/guardians to learn more about the global leadership program
- Hear from former Global students both at Doyle and around the world as they share how Global Leadership and Doyle helped spark their journey and got them ready for the road ahead
- Learn how you can fit the Global Leadership program into your high school schedule with ease and with support
- Learn from Dr. John Milloy (Wilfrid Laurier University, Former MPP for Kitchener Center) and Dr. Suzanne Kearns (University of Waterloo, Director of the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics) as they explain how the Global Leadership Program excellently prepares students for a variety of post-secondary options
- Learn more about the trips and university connections planned for next year
- Learn about the Global Leadership Scholarship Program
- Watch students experience an actual lesson from the global leadership program from their seats!!!
- Have your questions answered by the teaching staff for the program next year.

There will also be live interactive games to play on your phone and YouTube videos to appear via QR codes in the school and online throughout November.
